Located in Addis Ababa’s Akaki Kality Sub-city, Kebele 10, the factory spans 4800m², with an additional 1800m² for offices, allowing for future expansion. All machinery is state-of-the-art, producing products to international standards.

GIW was founded with the aim of promoting efficient water resource management by conserving water, reducing wastage, and addressing the Ethiopian market’s need for high-quality geosynthetic products. These products, including plastic pipes, plastic sheeting, and various other offerings, play a vital role in protecting, collecting, delivering, and containing water resources, as well as soil protection.
By manufacturing geosynthetics locally, GIW contributes significantly to Ethiopia’s water service provision to agriculture, industry, and utilities. The company employs over 230 individuals, including managers, engineers, marketing and sales representatives, office support personnel, and manufacturing plant workers, providing expertise and high-quality products to its customers.
